Job summary

Connect Search, LLC partners with an established organization in the energy & infrastructure construction industry to add an experienced Staff Accountant / AR Accountant to its team.

This 100% onsite, Monday–Friday role offers a base salary of $65K–$70K with discretionary 10–20% bonus and exposure to broader accounting responsibilities beyond billing, including reconciliations, month-end close, project accounting, and audit activities.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
• AR duties: aging, collections, cash application, invoice tracking & discrepancy resolution.
• Experience with account reconciliations and AR subledger-to-GL reconciliation.
• General accounting and month-end close exposure.
• Advanced Excel — PivotTables, VLOOKUPs/lookup functions & large data sets.
• Construction, engineering or project-based industry experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own AR processes and ensure accurate aging and collections.
• Support reconciliations and month-end close.
• Assist with project accounting and audit activities.

$65K–$70K base + discretionary 10–20% bonus

100% onsite | Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM

This is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong Accounts Receivable foundation but wants broader accounting exposure. This is not simply a billing position — you’ll have ownership across AR processes while also supporting reconciliations, month-end close, project accounting, and audit activities.

What they’re looking for:

• 5–7 years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Well-rounded AR experience including aging, collections, cash application, invoice tracking & discrepancy resolution
• Experience with account reconciliations and AR subledger-to-GL reconciliation
• General accounting and month-end close exposure
• Advanced Excel — PivotTables, VLOOKUPs/lookup functions & large data sets
• Experience working within a mid-market or enterprise ERP
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with project/field teams
• Construction, engineering or project-based industry experience strongly preferred
• Exposure to percentage-of-completion and/or cost-plus/reimbursable contracts is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
