Hendrick Automotive Group's Charlotte Consolidated Accounting Office in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to record payments and maintain receivable records in a busy dealership environment.

You will handle daily cash deposits, AR ledger updates, invoicing, credit card deposits, and reconciliations while adhering to company policies and safety rules. Regular attendance and accurate timekeeping are required.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience.
  • Previous accounting experience, specifically Accounts Receivable in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and handle daily cash deposits.
  • Enter finalized cash receipts and update accounts receivable ledger.
  • Obtain and mail invoice copies for customers.
  • Process daily credit card deposits.
  • File check stubs and bank receipts.
  • Reconcilies schedules and cash balance.
  • Research customer claims of invoice payment.
  • Maintain CSI at or above Company standards.

Charlotte Consolidated Accounting Office - HICLocation: 6030 East Independence Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28212**Summary:** Responsible for recording payments to customers' accounts and maintaining receivable records.**Supervisory Responsibilities:** This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **may** **include the following:*** Prepares and handles daily cash deposits* Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger* Obtains and mails invoice copies for customers, as requested* Processes daily credit card deposits* Files check stubs and bank receipts* Reconciles schedules and cash balance* Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment* Researches and processes charge backs, returns, and bad checks and ensures checks are collected* Maintains credit applications on recurring accounts* Records sales tax exempt information* Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts* Assists with related special projects, as required* Maintains CSI at or above Company standards* Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area* Participates in required training* Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system* Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.* Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values* Complies with Company policies and procedures* Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.* Other duties as assigned**Qualifications:**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to learn the Dealership Management System, Spreadsheet software, accounting software, and inventory software.**Communication Skills:**Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and companypersonnel.**Attendance Expectations:**The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.**Physical Demands:**While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel.**Environment Demands:**Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office setting.
