Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Director to lead a high-volume AP function for a large organization in Orlando. You will provide strategic leadership, oversee over 50,000 invoices annually, and drive automation, process optimization, and technology enhancements across multiple business units.

The role requires a proven track record in AP leadership, ERP familiarity, and a strong ability to mentor large teams while partnering with finance and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in accounts payable leadership with 50,000+ invoices annually.
• Experience with ERP and AP management systems; advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to lead large teams and drive automation and process improvements.
• Proven track record of strategic partnering with finance and operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic finance business partner to executive leadership.
• Oversee complex AP operations supporting multiple business units.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing and reporting.
• Lead automation, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Develop strategies to improve productivity, controls, service levels, and performance.
• Manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Establish policies, procedures, and performance metrics for the department.
• Identify innovative solutions to improve quality while reducing costs.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and other finance activities.
• Maintain vendor relationships and ensure effective payment processes.
• Monitor budgets and promote cost-effective operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and objectives.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, and professional development within the department.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and financial controls.
