Job summary

Redstone Federal Credit Union is seeking an Accounting Technician to perform routine to moderately complex accounts payable tasks, review invoices for payment, prepare journal vouchers, and maintain accounting records with sound judgment on unusual transactions.

The role supports month-end GL analysis, settlements, and reporting; it requires 2 years of bookkeeping experience and an associate degree in accounting.

Qualifications

• 2 Year / Associate Degree in Accounting is required.
• 2 Years of bookkeeping or financial recordkeeping duties is required.
• Accounts Payable experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare account postings to General Ledger and reconcile accounts.
• Organize invoices, verify reports, complete settlement processing and journals.
• Research errors/outages and coordinate corrective actions with other departments.
• Support month-end General Ledger analysis and generate various reports.
