Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the Chase Travel Accounts Payable team seeks an Accounts Payable Team Lead who will guide day-to-day payables operations in a high-volume travel environment, ensuring accurate processing, timely reconciliations, and strong controls.

You will act as the primary escalation point for exceptions, coach a team, and collaborate across the business to improve processes, documentation, and aging. This is an office-based role with occasional hours to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in accounts payable operations or related finance role.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoicing, reconciliations, and supplier payment issue resolution.
• Experience managing aged items and reconciling high-volume payables activity to deadlines.
• Ability to apply financial controls and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical skills to interpret financial data and support data-informed decisions.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Guide daily accounts payable activities for suppliers, vendors, commissions, and virtual card programs.
• Oversee reconciliations across supplier activity and balances.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Monitor aged accounts payable balances and timely resolutions.
• Complete monthly reconciliations by accounting deadlines.
• Maintain internal controls across accounts payable processes.
• Perform quality reviews of reconciliation work.
• Maintain SOPs, control evidence, and audit materials.
• Escalate material variances and aged items.
• Allocate daily workload based on volume and priority.
• Coach and develop associates through training and cross-training.
