Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead a team across multi-property AP functions. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to policies while supporting continuous process improvements.

The successful candidate will oversee daily AP operations, resolve discrepancies, manage vendor relationships, and ensure 1099 tracking and year-end reporting are handled efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years accounts payable experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Multi-property accounts payable experience.
• College degree required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the AP staff and lead by example.
• Perform all phases of the AP process.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies and resolve them.
• Evaluate and streamline AP processes for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies in AP.
• Review invoices for documentation, GL coding and approval.
• Process, batch and input vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Set up new vendors and 1099 tracking; assist with year-end 1099 reporting.
• Reconcile customer statements and maintain AP files.
• Assist team to research outstanding bank reconciliations.
• Perform any additional duties to meet business objectives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise the A/P staff, provide leadership through example
• Be able to perform all phases of the A/P process.
• Assist, research and investigate invoice discrepancies.
• Continuously evaluate, analyze and streamline A/P processes.
• Ensures that all internal policies and procedures are being adhered to in regards to A/P processes.
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation, GL coding and approval prior to payment.
• Process, batch and input vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and check requests.
• Setup new vendors and 1099 tracking.
• Assist with the year end 1099 reporting
• Reconcile customer statements and maintain AP files.
• Assist team in researching outstanding bank rec items
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years accounts payable experience required.
• Minimum of 2 year of supervisory experience required
• Multi-property accounts payable experience required.
• College degree required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic understanding of general accounting principles.
• Thorough knowledge of accounts payable function.
• Ability to supervise a team
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with emphasis on timeliness and accuracy.
• Skill in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel and Word) and software applications.
• Ability to work well in team-oriented environment.
