Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team. The role focuses on supervising AP staff, managing all AP processes, and ensuring accurate vendor invoicing and GL coding.

The position supports a fast-paced hospitality environment with emphasis on timeliness and accuracy. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in accounts payable and 2+ years in supervisory roles, with multi-property experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years accounts payable experience required.
• Minimum of 2 year of supervisory experience required
• Multi-property accounts payable experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the AP staff, lead by example.
• Perform all phases of the AP process.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Streamline AP processes and improve efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to internal AP policies and procedures.
• Review invoices for documentation, GL coding, and approval.
• Process, batch and input vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Setup new vendors and 1099 tracking.
• Assist with year-end 1099 reporting.
• Reconcile customer statements and maintain AP files.
• Research outstanding bank reconciliation items as needed.
• Contribute to team objectives and perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise the A/P staff, provide leadership through example
• Be able to perform all phases of the A/P process.
• Assist, research and investigate invoice discrepancies.
• Continuously evaluate, analyze and streamline A/P processes.
• Ensures that all internal policies and procedures are being adhered to in regards to A/P processes.
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation , GL coding and approval prior to payment.
• Process, batch and input vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and check requests.
• Setup new vendors and 1099 tracking.
• Assist with the year end 1099 reporting
• Reconcile customer statements and maintain AP files.
• Assist team in researching outstanding bank rec items
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives .

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years accounts payable experience required .
• Minimum of 2 year of supervisory experience required
• Multi-property accounts payable experience required .

KNO WLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic understanding of general accounting principles .
• Thorough knowledge of accounts payable function .
• Ability to supervise a team
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with emphasis on timeliness and accuracy.
• Skill in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel and Word) and software applications.
• Ability to work well in team -oriented environment.
