Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract role in Berkeley, CA. The successful candidate will handle full-cycle AP processing, vendor maintenance, and 1099 support, using Yardi PAYscan and Financial Manager modules.

The role requires 2+ years of AP experience, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with Yardi software. On-site work only with benefits and a pay range of $28.00–$33.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting (preferred).
• Minimum of two years of accounts payable experience; or a minimum of five years of direct accounts payable experience.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office applications.
• Experience with Yardi or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter invoices into Yardi PAYscan daily with proper coding and workflow for quick approvals.
• Enter confidential invoices into Yardi Financial Manager module after documentation and approvals.
• Maintain monthly checklist for missing invoices per property and locate invoices online when needed.
• Review the workflow dashboard for data corrections and ensure efficient processing of invoices.
• Answer vendor and staff inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Assist in check runs, printing checks, EFT/ACH payments, and distributing checks.
• Verify vendor statements and past due balances; contact vendors when needed.
• Manage vendor maintenance in Yardi (addresses, W-9, insurance docs, files).
• Follow up on credits owed by vendors and apply correctly.
• File AP invoices not produced in PAYscan and prep off-site storage files.
• Analyze AP data and report insights to supervisor.
