Job summary

Spinnaker Resorts, an award-winning vacation ownership company with over 600 professionals, seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the finance team in providing timely and accurate vendor and accounting support.

Responsibilities include processing invoices in Great Plains, reconciling statements, preparing check runs, maintaining W-9s and COIs, and supporting operations. This is a full-time in-office role with potential remote days in the future.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or significant work experience.
• Minimum one year business experience required.
• Proficiency in accounting filing systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Great Plains experience a plus.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Attention to detail and problem solving.
• Effective and professional communication, both verbal and written.
• Excellent telephone skills and etiquette.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Teamwork and multitasking with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to convey information clearly to managers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify coding and enter invoices into Great Plains for payment.
• Prepare weekly Check Register reports.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform weekly check run process and obtain Accounting Manager approval.
• Ensure payments are properly distributed.
• Collect W-9s and Certificates of Insurance and maintain database.
• Reconcile company credit card charges weekly and monthly.
• Submit weekly prepayment schedules for approval.
• Monitor recurring payments and prepare accrual spreadsheets.
• Support and work direction with the Operational Teams.
• Full time in office required; possible future remote days.
