We are looking for a remote Accounts Payable Professional to join our team!

What would I do?
- Verifying and processing invoices: Manage email traffic of incoming invoices. Ensure invoices are accurate, matched to purchase orders, and route invoices to project managers for review, approval, and coding. Ensure correct coding for accounting purposes and enter invoices into the system.
- Payment processing: Monitor aging reports. Prepare and process payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments.
- Reconciling accounts: Balance accounts payable, resolve discrepancies, and ensure record accuracy.
- Maintaining records: Keep detailed records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.
- Vendor management: Handle vendor inquiries, manage relationships, and ensure timely payments.
- Expense management: Process expense reports, verify expenses, and ensure appropriate coding.
- Auditing support: Provide documentation and assistance during audits.
- Financial reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
What experience and qualifications are required?
- Minimum of 5 years of AP work experience
- Experience with JAMIS or similar ERP system preferred
- Strong MS Office skills: Outlook, Excel, Word
- BS Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to process high-volume accounts payable
- Excellent communication and writing skills for interactions with internal and external teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet multiple deadlines
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
- Quick learner of new skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently, take initiative, and see projects through
- High attention to data accuracy
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong computer skills, including scheduling software and Microsoft Office products
