Job summary

The JOY FM is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to manage vendor invoices for about 40-50 retail properties in Augusta, GA. You will code operating expenses, process payments, and reconcile statements while coordinating with property managers and the accounting team.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years in accounting, preferably in real estate or related industries, and are proficient with Sage Intacct or Sage 300 CRE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, ideally within real estate, construction, or related industries.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Sage 300 CRE, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Route invoices for approval and follow up with property managers to keep payments on schedule.
• Prepare and process check and AvidPay payment runs according to the payment calendar.
• Code operating expenses accurately to support CAM, tax, and insurance recoveries from tenants.
• Track and process recurring charges such as utilities, landscaping, janitorial, security, and maintenance contracts
• Collect and maintain vendor W-9s, certificates of insurance, and contract documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, duplicate invoices, and past-due balances.
