WarHorse Gaming, a division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., seeks a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team in Omaha, NE. The role ensures timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and adherence to accounting standards in a full-time, weekday schedule.

Ideal candidates are organized, analytical, and confidential with strong Excel skills and the ability to handle sensitive financial data. Nebraska Gaming license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of accounts payable or related accounting experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret financial documents and contracts.
• Ability to obtain Nebraska Gaming License if required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting docs.
• Process vendor payments accurately and timely.
• Ensure proper coding of invoices in the accounting system.
• Prepare payment runs including checks and electronic payments.
• Maintain vendor files and IRS 1099 compliance.
• Assist with monthly reconciliations and reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and capture discounts.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payments.
