Job summary

WarHorse Gaming is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team in Omaha, NE. You will ensure timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and financial transactions while upholding company policies and accounting standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of accounts payable experience, strong Excel skills, and a commitment to confidentiality. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License, if required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and verify invoices and expense reports for accuracy.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Process vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verify vendor information and tax IDs.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor files and ensure IRS 1099 compliance.
• Assist with monthly reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and capture discounts.
