Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its finance team in Groton, CT. The role covers full lifecycle of purchase ledger tasks, invoicing, general ledger support, and month-end close activities in a manufacturing setting.

You will verify payables, post ledgers, resolve invoice issues, and collaborate with teammates in a fast-paced environment. Office onsite with a flexible schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounts payable experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in data entry and daily accounting activities.
• Familiarity with Epicor or other ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Alabama Sales and Use Tax Laws.

Responsibilities

• Verify and complete accounts payable transactions for timely payments.
• Post ledger transactions accurately to maintain ledgers.
• Assist in month-end close by reconciling accounts.
• Support purchasing and general ledger activities.
• Resolve invoice approval issues and inquiries via effective communication.
