Job summary

City of Maypearl is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk II to manage AP, vendor records, and assist with payroll backup. The role supports the Accounting Services Supervisor and reports to the CFO/Controller within Business Services.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree and 3–5 years in government or public utility accounting, with experience in InCode/InVision preferred. Normal hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday, in Lewisville, TX.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or equivalent
• 3–5 years of government/public utility accounting experience preferred
• Experience with InCode/InVision or similar financial systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable: set up vendor accounts, input invoices, maintain vendor data and issue payments
• Audit and verify work done by others before submission
• Create and maintain files and reports to support accounting and annual audits
• Respond to information requests from external entities and provide documents
• Assist CFO/Controller with related tasks and inventory/fixed asset management
• Serve as payroll backup and perform related clerical duties
• Perform additional duties as assigned
