PenAir Credit Union in Pensacola, FL is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure accurate classification, processing, and payment of organizational expenses. You will apply accounting knowledge, use Excel, and leverage automation and Workday to improve efficiency and controls.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, reconciling payments, analyzing vendor spending, and assisting with month-end close and 1099 tax reporting.

Competenze

• Three to five years in accounts payable or related fields; relevant experience preferred.
• An associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Process invoices, expense reimbursements, corporate card activity, and payment requests accurately.
• Classify expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts, cost centers, projects, and reporting dimensions.
• Analyze accounts payable activity and vendor spending to identify inefficiencies and process improvements.
• Prepare reconciliations and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Utilize Workday and other financial systems; leverage automation and AI to improve productivity and controls.
• Support tax reporting, including 1099s, and maintain complete documentation.
