Job summary

SARA is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk at its Cypress, CA or Colorado Springs, CO locations. The role provides exposure to vouchers, vendor payments, and interdepartmental coordination within a defense research environment.

Ideal candidates have a BA in Accounting and 2–4 years of related experience, with strong Excel skills and DoD clearance readiness. On-site positions with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
• 2–4 years accounting experience or related work.
• Understanding of US GAAP.
• Strong problem solving and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Enter 2-way and 3-way vouchers into accounting system.
• Coordinate with employees in multiple locations regarding orders and vendor requests.
• Manage shared Accounts Payable email inbox.
• Process vendor payments and employee reimbursements via checks and ACH/EFT.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable team, Buyers, Shipping/Receiving departments.
• Manage and reconcile multiple company credit cards.
• Maintain electronic accounting files and documentation.
