TAPCO, a leading transportation and personal safety solutions provider in Wisconsin, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the finance team at Brown Deer. This full-time role reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and focuses on timely processing of invoices and payments.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in accounts payable, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of accounts payable or similar experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with accounting software systems preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices in compliance with GAAP
• Prioritize invoice processing to take advantage of cash discounts
• Prepare and distribute supplier payments on time
• Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier inquiries
• Review and process employee expense reports
• Reconcile company credit card statements
• Assist the accounting team with month-end close and annual audits
• Work extensively with purchasing and receiving teams
• Process supplier purchase returns and credit memos

What you will accomplish as a Accounts Payable Specialist at TAPCO:

The primary function of the Accounts Payable Specialist is to provide financial and administrative support to the finance team. This position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager.
