German American Bancorp is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure timely processing of outgoing payments to suppliers, vendors, and creditors at our Jasper, IN location. You will input invoices, process batches for ACH and checks, and prepare payment documents for mailing.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors. Relevant experience with AP software and MS Office is expected, along with strong organizational skills.

Accounts Payable Specialist

As an AccountsPayable Specialist, you play an integral role in ensuring the financial operations of German American by ensuring timely processing of outgoing payments to suppliers, vendors, and creditors.

What You’ll Do

Day in the Life –Every day you input invoices into the accountspayable software and process invoice batches for payment by ACH and check. You also prepare invoices for workflowqueues, prepare checks for mailing, and manage allocations for prepaid expensesand other invoices. On a monthly basis,you review expense reports for accuracy and reconcile those expense reports tocorporate credit card statements. You collaboratewith internal stakeholders and external vendors while managing the accounts payableemail inboxes. Other responsibilities asassigned.

What it Takes

Knowledgeof and Experience with: processing data accurately and efficiently; strong 10-Key skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs,especially Outlook and Excel; ability to handle sensitive and confidentialinformation with discretion; adaptability to changing business needs; abilityto work individually and in teams; using available resources and partnerships to solveproblems.
