National Corporate Housing is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to perform a range of accounting and AP duties. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, and a professional demeanor to interact with vendors and internal teams.

Accounts Payable Specialist

National Corporate Housing looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This person will perform various accounting and accounts payable duties as listed below. The selected person needs to have a professional image, strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment


• Acts as liaison between corporate and field; including researching issues prior to payment


• Codes invoices in accounting system working with markets where additional information is required


• Answers all vendor and market inquiries


• Maintains and compiles all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and files


• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required


• Assists in monthly closings by posting all invoices received by last day of month


• Prepares analysis of accounts to assist vendors in reconciling our records and theirs, as required


• Identify and correct potential opportunities to minimize expenses


• Distributes signed checks; Assembles and processes overnight shipments to branches and vendors


• Follow up with various properties on outstanding Security Deposits


• Imaging


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Two to three years or more related experience and/or training


• Proficiency in Excel is required


• Individual should demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work and excellent attention to detail


• Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities and uses time efficiently


• Can adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events


• Responds to requests for service and assistance and meets commitments


• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner


• Able to gather and analyze information skillfully

• AP Certification or Associates Degree is a plus


• Prior hospitality sector experience a plus
