Job Description
Miller Electric, an ITW company, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our in‑house accounting team in Appleton, WI. In this key role you will own the approval, coding, and matching of invoices and receipts, communicate with vendors to resolve account payable issues, book journal entries, and verify payment accuracy. You’ll serve as a core leader ensuring financial integrity and upholding ITW principles.
How You Will Make An Impact
Financial
- Enter vendor invoices
- Resolve invoice processing issues
- Receive not‑invoiced clean‑up
- Process material invoices, 3‑way match
- EDI processing
- Apply analytical and reconciliation skills
- Assist with projects assigned by supervisor
- Understand sales and use tax law
- Provide analytical, inquisitive, and precise explanations
- Demonstrate strong ability to understand macro and micro trends to quickly identify inaccuracies
Team Development
- Help other employees understand how their decisions impact financial results
- Identify, communicate, and train others on key business drivers
Continuous Improvement
- Apply sound judgment to analyze processes, identify opportunities to reduce complexity and simplify processes

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in accounting or related field
- Previous accounts payable experience
- Accounting in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Analytical and reconciliation skills
- Proficiency with Excel, is required
- Strong problem‑solving skills, prioritization, organizational and data entry skills
- Effective communication skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
