Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group at the San Antonio Riverwalk is seeking an accounting professional to manage accounts payable and receivable duties, ensuring accurate coding, timely payments and balance integrity.

You will work under the Director of Finance, interact with hotel departments and vendors, perform monthly closing tasks and maintain aging reports, with flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
• Ability to read invoices and understand billing details.
• Good mathematical skills for balancing accounts and reconciling balances.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payable vouchers with expense distribution and proper coding.
• Match invoices with purchase orders, receiving reports and checks for accuracy.
• Maintain payable vouchers and filing with supporting notes and documents.
• Maintain ledger for merchandise in transit and verify balances.
• Process payments and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements with Finance team.
• Prepare and maintain monthly aging reports and gift certificate reconciliation.
• Post credit card payments and manage direct bill applications.
• Investigate and respond to credit card chargebacks and inquiries.
• May assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
