Job summary

The Chicago Foundation for Women is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations and assist the Chief Operating Officer with recording transactions.

You will manage accounts payable and receivable, process deposits, enter invoices in Fund EZ, and help prepare monthly financial statements and grant reconciliations. This role requires attention to detail and reliability in a nonprofit Chicago-based office.

Responsibilities

• Receive revenue and deposits; maintain cash receipts files.
• Route and file invoices; code and obtain approvals.
• Enter approved invoices in Fund EZ; prepare checks for signature; coordinate mailing.
• Reconcile monthly revenue between Fund EZ and Raiser's Edge; maintain vendor files and W-9s up to date.
• Assist with monthly financial statements and annual audits.
