Douglas County is seeking an Accounting Specialist II or Senior Accounting Specialist to support Accounts Payable, P-Card operations and financial reporting. The role may involve reconciliations, revenue balancing, payroll support and ensuring internal controls over public funds.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with accounting-related coursework.
• 2 years of accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping or related administrative work.
• A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Process routine invoices and payments in the county financial system.
• Verify account coding, PO information, approvals and documentation prior to payment.
• Maintain organized electronic records for AP transactions.
• Assist with routine reconciliations, reports and research.
