Job summary

BAC (Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc.) in Maryland seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the Americas AP team and optimize payments for U.S. operations.

The role requires strong accounting background, analytical skills, and effective cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, IT, and Finance to maintain internal controls and improve working capital. The candidate will direct accruals, vendor master data, and monthly reconciliations, while driving automation and process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• 5+ years accounting experience.
• 5+ years accounts payable experience preferred.
• SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Solid accounting, finance, and internal controls background.
• Working knowledge of general finance, banking, terms and conditions, and legal terminology.
• Excellent analytical ability and communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Eagerness to learn and assume responsibility without excessive supervision.

Responsibilities

• Direct leadership of AP team and balancing/adjusting resources as efficiencies are realized and volume changes.
• Ensure timely and accurate resolution of vendor and customer matters with urgency.
• Record accruals for month-end close.
• Reconcile various Accounts Payable accounts monthly.
• Review vendor statements and maintain vendor master data.
• Collaborate with business leaders to resolve vendor payment issues.
• Ensure payments adhere to internal controls and are executed as scheduled.
• Administer payment methods: Wires, ACH, P-card; manage corporate card program.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve processes and systems.
• Resolve SAP and OCR issues with SAP IT and stakeholders.
• Support federal 1099 reporting and SOX testing.
