Job summary

Protingent Staffing is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the Accounts Payable cycle and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in Bellevue, WA. This role demands 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ERP/AP expertise (Oracle Fusion Cloud AP preferred), and a proven ability to implement process improvements while partnering with non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, including significant end-to-end AP or procure-to-pay responsibility
• Demonstrated experience owning AP operations, resolving complex exceptions, and partnering with non-Finance stakeholders
• Experience with ERP-based invoice workflows, approval routing, three-way matching, payment processing, and AP reconciliations
• Experience designing or improving accounting processes and internal controls
• Strong Excel and data-analysis capabilities

Responsibilities

• Process leader of Accounts Payable cycle
• Ensuring that root causes of payment issues are identified, documented and resolved
• Implementation of sustainable process changes & improvements
• Establishment of clear ownership, action plans and follow up for AP exceptions
• Cross-functional work across finance & business operations functions to resolve complex or recurring AP issues
• Translation of finance requirements into guidance for non-finance stakeholders
• Escalate material, time sensitive, or control related issues with clear facts, options and recommended solutions
• Daily accounting activities and period-end close by monitoring & reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and providing timely & accurate internal and external reporting
• Support complex accounting matters & business transactions
• Identifies & implements automation opportunities and process improvements
• Proactively identifies and proposes accounting solutions for new or unusual business transactions and helps to ensure that the day-to-day accounting is consistent with corporate accounting policies and procedures
• Supports ERP system projects, including defining requirements & testing/validating outputs
• Ability to implement policies and procedures to help improve efficiencies
• Supports internal and external audits. Submits initial deliverables & handles follow-up queries
