Job summary

Genetix Biotherapeutics is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee day-to-day AP operations, process invoices, payments, and maintain supplier records with strong internal controls.

You will coordinate month-end close, improve AP processes, and partner with the Finance team; NetSuite and Excel proficiency is required. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Somerville, MA or Easton, PA with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable processing.
• Knowledge of AP processes, controls, and GAAP; Sunshine Act a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounts payable operations, ensuring accurate invoicing and payments.
• Maintain efficient workflows and resolve issues impacting accuracy or deadlines.
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies to improve AP processes and internal controls.
• Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies; respond to internal/external inquiries.
• Coordinate month-end close for accounts payable, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, procurement, and general accounting teams.
• Track AP metrics to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
