Job summary

Fred Finch Youth & Family Services is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee AP operations, manage the AP team, and ensure timely, accurate payments while maintaining internal controls. The role supports the organization’s financial objectives across Fred Finch and related entities.

The candidate will lead a skilled team, ensure compliance with GAAP, and drive process improvements, vendor management, and accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or B.A./B.S. with 18 semester units in accounting.
• Minimum 4 years in accounts payable, expense reimbursement or claims management; 2+ years supervisory.
• Experience with automated accounting systems and bank reconciliations to ledgers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP operations and team; ensure timely, accurate payments and internal controls.
• Support agency financial objectives across Fred Finch and related entities.
• Lead process improvements and training for staff.

Pay/Benefits at a Glance

• Pay range is between $93,330 - $119,115.36 per year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

What You Will Do

The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable (AP) operations, managing the accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, maintaining internal controls, and supporting the agency’s financial objectives. The Accounts Payable Manager will be supporting all AP operations of Fred Finch and all related entities including Fred Finch Eunice, Fred Finch CARES, Rising Oaks, Coolidge Court, and Rising Hart.

Shifts Available

Full Time; Mon-Fri/8am-5pm

• Interact with staff at various levels across the organization, deliver exceptional customer service for internal and external customers, manage projects, develop and maintain policies and procedures, and ensure financial systems integrity.
• Lead a functional area of responsibility, manage, coach, and train team members.
• Manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally; utilizes active listening.
• Present information and ideas clearly and concisely, adapting to the audience.
• Perform assigned activities using Word, Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools.

Education and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or B.A./B.S. in other area of study, plus a minimum of 18 semester units in accounting.

Experience

• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in accounts payable, expense reimbursement or claims management, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Verifiable two (2) years of experience as lead or primary responsible for automated accounting systems, reconciliation of bank accounts to accounting ledgers and subledgers for accounts payable, expense reimbursement or claims management.
