Job summary

Jewish Family Service of San Diego is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to oversee day-to-day AP operations, ensure accurate invoicing, timely payments, and proper handling of corporate card transactions. You will lead the AP team, enforce controls, and collaborate with vendors, procurement, and the AP Manager to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience.
• Experience with vendor management and reconciliations.
• Non-profit experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software.
• Ability to train and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Distribute daily AP workloads and ensure accurate invoicing and payments.
• Oversee corporate card workflows, employee card issuance, compliance, and GL reconciliation.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, prepaids and accruals.
• Investigate and resolve three-way matching discrepancies, complex PO issues, and vendor disputes.
• Guide and support AP Clerks with system navigation and policy training.
• Prepare weekly aging reports, reconcile vendor statements, and assist audits.
