Job summary

CFS is seeking an Accounts Payable Director to lead a large AP organization in Carrollwood, FL. You will partner with executive finance to drive process improvements and automation, delivering accurate, timely payments in a high-volume environment.

The role prioritizes leadership development, KPI-driven performance, and cross-functional collaboration to support strategic objectives in a construction-focused company. On-site opportunity in Tampa area with long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including leadership of large teams.
• Proven experience managing high-volume AP operations and complex vendor relationships.
• Strong background in process improvement, KPI management, and enterprise ERP systems.
• SAP experience preferred.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a large Accounts Payable team, including supervisors and staff.
• Oversee high-volume AP operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely payments.
• Establish, track, and improve departmental KPIs and performance metrics
• Drive process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Partner with finance, accounting, and business leaders to resolve complex AP issues and support company goals
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards
