Job summary

Astound is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator I in New Jersey to maintain relationships with internal and external customers and process accounts payable within established service levels. You will assist the AP Manager with research and special projects as needed.

The role requires 2–3 years of high-volume AP experience, proficiency with Great Plains and ReqLogic, and strong Excel/Word/Outlook skills. A related degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming invoices and route for coding and approvals.
• Process PO and non-PO invoices with 3-way match.
• Resolve PO/invoice pricing and quantity discrepancies.
• Process leasing, refunds, and programming uploads.
• Handle payment batches and check registers.
• Assist AP Manager with research and projects.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly.
• Maintain vendor remittances and service levels.

Job description

The Accounts Payable Coordinator I is responsible for maintaining relationships with internal and external customers and processing accounts payable within the established minimum service levels and assisting the AP Manager with research and projects as needed. The successful candidate will have knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, excellent organizational and communication skills, and working knowledge of Financial Systems and Excel.Process incoming purchase order and non-purchase order invoices.Route invoices for coding and approvals to various markets via workflow.Process purchase order invoices ensuring a 3-way match.Resolve purchase order/invoice pricing and quantity discrepancies with the Purchasing Manager/Markets.Ensure vendor remittances are current.Process leasing, refunds, and programming uploads.Process manual invoice requests within established service levels.Process payment batches and check registers.Resolve any customer inquiries in a timely manner.Other duties as assigned.What You Bring to the Table:2-3 years high volume accounts payable.Experience with Great Plains Financial Software and ReqLogic is preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent customer service and organizational skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; flexibility in dealing with assignments and in working on several projects simultaneously.Education:High school diploma and Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or relevant experience.We're Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package Including:401k retirement plan, with employer matchInsurance options including: medical, dental, vision, life and STD insurancePaid Time Off/Vacation: Starting at 80 hours per year, and increases based on tenure with the organizationFloating Holiday: 40 hours per yearPaid Holidays: 7 days per yearPaid Sick Leave: Astound allows a number of paid sick hours per calendar year and varies based on state and/or local lawsTuition reimbursement programEmployee discount program*Benefits listed above are for regular full-time positionBase Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr, plus opportunities for benefits.
