Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic law firm client in Downtown Los Angeles. The role handles full-cycle AP, ensures accurate coding, and supports payments.

This full-time, direct-hire position offers training onsite, then a hybrid schedule with two days onsite each week, and a salary of $50,000 to $55,000 per year with medical benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years accounting experience in a law firm.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with attention to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable: review, audit and payments in accounting software according to firm policies.
• Process payments for wires and transfers (domestic and international) to vendors/clients.
• Ensure correct coding to charge firm accounts and client costs accurately.
• Oversee daily paid-when-paid (PWP) employee payments.
• Manage client billable employee costs and reconcile inactive expense reports.

Job Description:

1. Manage full-cycle AP: review/audit and payment processing in accounting software in accordance with firm policies /regulations.
2. Payment processing for wires and transfers (domestic and international) to vendors/clients.
3. Confirm compliance with correct coding to ensure firm accounts and client costs are charged correctly.
4. Oversee the daily PWP (paid-when-paid) employee payments.
5. Manage client billable employee costs and reconciliation of inactive employee expense reports.

Position Requirements:

1. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
2. Capable of critical and analytical thinking, as well as being self-driven, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
