Job summary

Narrative Strategies LLC is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to support the growth of the finance and accounting team. The role focuses on managing vendor bills, expenses, credit cards, and payments, collaborating with client account teams, creative services, senior executives, clients, and vendors.

The AP Clerk will work under the Director of Finance and report to the Senior Director of Finance, requiring attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on AP experience in a corporate or professional services setting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and AP policies.
• Proficient in MS Office with accounting software experience (Sage Intacct preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with time management and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review bills for documentation, approval, and coding before processing.
• Enter vendor bills, expense reports, and credit card transactions with proper GL coding.
• Upload approved bills for record keeping in the accounting system.
• Generate A/P, expense, and payment reports.
• Facilitate vendor payments and verify federal IDs when needed.
• Communicate payment status and invoice requests to vendors.
• Reconcile account balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with annual audits and requested documentation.
• Be a collaborative team player supporting the Finance group.
