Job summary

Symrise AG in Hodges, SC is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to manage vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations within our finance team. You will process batch payments, respond to vendor inquiries, and assist with monthly closings.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of AP experience, a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office; SAP experience is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting our accounting department.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience required.
• Solid knowledge of basic accounting (debits, credits).
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written).
• Proficiency with MS Office; SAP is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding finance and payment status.
• Handle vendor correspondence by phone or email.
• Post and reconcile payments against system reports.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
• Prepare monthly cash flow reports and forecasts.
• Support monthly closings and audit requests.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable duties as needed.
• Assist with other duties to support the Accounting Department.

About the Role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
• Ensuring payment is received and responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance.
• Handling all vendor correspondence via phone or email.
• Posting and reconciling payments by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Reconciling accounts payable transactions
• Preparing analysis of accounts and produces monthly cash flow reports and forecast.
• Continuing to improve the payment process.
• Preparing all purchase order invoices, investigates, and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders.
• Assisting with monthly closings.
• Assisting with audit requests
• Performing Accounts Receivable duties as needed.
• Performing other duties as required to support the Accounting Department.

About You

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent level of education is required.
• 3+ years of prior Accounts Payable experience is required with solid knowledge of accounting basics (debits, credits, etc.). Prefer experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Must be detailed oriented with attention to accuracy and exhibit excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
