Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to manage and oversee all expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, and statements. The ideal candidate will ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain precise records of all vendors’ payments.
  • Ensure timely payment of tax liabilities.
  • Research and approve new vendors, creating new vendor accounts.
  • Collaborate with facilities to solve problems.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balance.
  • Maintain historical records.
  • Process employee payments by verifying expense reports and preparing paychecks.
  • Schedule and ensure payments are made to vendors for outstanding credit.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Verify and update reward program uploads.
  • Manage telephone and internet services.
  • Continuously improve the payment process.

Work Environment

This role is fully onsite in an industrial facility, with the corporate office attached to the production floor. The environment can be loud, and the office space is tight-knit, requiring close proximity work with colleagues. The team is small, consisting of two people in Accounts Payable, including a manager, and one in Accounts Receivable. The candidate will be responsible for processing approximately 300 invoices per week, supporting the specialist in handling 600 invoices weekly.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
