Job summary

Ken Garff Automotive Group in American Fork, UT is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. You will review invoices, manage payments, and coordinate with vendors while supporting monthly closings and AR duties as needed.

This role offers paid training, a clear career path, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401k with company match, PTO, and health coverage. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm. We value integrity, teamwork and customer service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years AP/AR experience, automotive experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic calculator use.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Self-motivated, organized and problem-solver.
• Advanced computer skills.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for proper documentation and approval before payment.
• Prepare invoice deduction notices as needed.
• Audit freight bills against freight manifests.
• Respond to vendor inquiries.
• Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate terms when cash is tight.
• Prepare AP checks and print AP reports.
• Maintain AP files and assist monthly closings.
• Assist with AR and special projects as required.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Prepare invoice deduction notices, as necessary
• Audit freight bills against freight manifests
• Answer all vendor inquiries
• Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted
• Prepare accounts payable checks
• Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files
• Prepare analysis of accounts, as required
• Assist in monthly closings
• Assist with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Here's what you'll need:

• 1-2 years AP/AR experience, previous automotive experience a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products, and the general use of a computer and calculator
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and effective problem-solver
• Advanced computer skills
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred
