Job summary

WellSpace Health is hiring an Accounting Clerk in Sacramento to provide essential accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. You will assist with vendor communications, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with policies.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling confidential financial data and multiple tasks independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in accounting or administrative role is a plus.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and office procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with accounting software (Sage Intacct or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and administrative support to ensure accurate financial records.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices, payroll, and purchasing transactions in the accounting system.
• Scan, file, and maintain organized accounting documentation.
• Obtain required approvals prior to payment processing.
• Maintain office and accounting supplies; manage mail and checks.
• Respond promptly to AP inquiries and correspondence.
• Assist with weekly check runs and vendor payments.
• Research and resolve vendor/invoice discrepancies.
