Job summary

HL Mando Corporation is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to participate in daily accounting operations, focusing on AP processing, vouchers, and close activities. The role requires detailed attention, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, experience with SAP, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• Experience with payable processes and voucher creation
• Knowledge of audits and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with vendor management and payment processing
• Familiarity with compliance like Sox/K-Sox

Responsibilities

• Manage Expense & Material Supplier Payments including related payable actions
• Review and create AP vouchers with PO or Non-PO
• Support monthly close activities and AP-related reconciliations
• Assist in audits by compiling required schedules
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports and ensure compliance (K-Sox)
• Manage accounts with carriers (UPS/FedEx/DHL) and AP activities

Accounts Payable Accountant

Purpose:

Participate in daily operations of accounting department including processing and monitoring account payables.

Key Responsibilities include the following(other duties may be assigned as needed):

• Management of Expense & Material Supplier Payment (this is not just limited to only payment, but includes such all actions for payable as credit card, Other payable aging, communication with suppliers, error correction etc.)
• Review and Create AP vouchers with PO or Non-PO in case
• Monthly Accounting Closing (e.g. Monitoring AP cut-off and taking all required action for financial closing, Various Expense accruals, Cost allocation, All assigned accounts reconciliation, FA relating AP support etc.)
• Training of payable process and voucher creation to related teams
• Support quarter & annual financial statement audits by compiling the required audit schedules
• Create required Monthly and Quarterly Report and follow up Compliance(K-Sox)
• UPS/FedEx/DHL Account and its A/P Management

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication skills and must have good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Well organized, hard worker, team player
• Ability to handle large amounts of data
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Bilingual (Korean and English) (Preferred)
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
• SAP experience preferred

Legal Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age due to federal labor law requirements.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily works in an office environment
• Rare exposure to environmental, safety-regulated, or industrial hazards
• Occasional use of stairs and navigation of uneven surfaces
• Rare use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and safety glasses

Physical Requirements:

• Constant use of computer, keyboarding, and standard office equipment
• Prolonged periods of sitting with occasional walking
• Constant use of vision, speech, and hearing for communication and computer-based tasks
• Rare lifting, carrying, or pushing/pulling of items up to 10 pounds

Remote Work: This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
