Job summary

Dealer Tire is seeking an Accountant to support the monthly close, prepare financial statements in line with U.S. GAAP, and manage accruals and journal entries.

You will analyze inventory, assist with variance analysis, generate ad hoc reports, and participate in audits while identifying process improvements to drive operational excellence. Strong Excel and ERP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2–4 years in general ledger accounting experience.
• Minimum 2+ years ERP experience.
• Foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proven transactional accounting data flow understanding including order to cash and procure to pay cycles.
• Strong foundational Excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability to meet quality/time commitments, under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly financial close process by ensuring timely/accurate financial statements.
• Create/Monitor/Post accruals and journal entries, reconcile accounts and perform ad hoc analysis.
• Analyze/Perform Inventory reconciliation to sub-ledger detail and communicate solutions.
• Provide analytical support for month-end close variance analysis.
• Collect/Analyze financial information for assigned accounts to track progress and assist departments.
• Research/Resolve transaction issues for assigned accounts in a timely manner.
• Recommend process improvements utilizing best practices for current processes/future opportunities.
• Lead physical inventory audits.
