Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking a seasoned Accounting & Advisory professional in the Houston area. The role focuses on external audit, assurance, and deals/financial due diligence in a public accounting context. Strong communication with C-Suite is essential as clients include large public filers.

The candidate will work in a high-demand advisory practice that values technical excellence and adaptability to evolving technologies such as AI and RPA. Public accounting pedigree is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in Accounting or Finance; Masters preferred.
• CPA preferred—will consider those in process.
• 4+ years of public accounting experience in Audit/Assurance/Advisory/Deals/FDD.
• Experience with large public filers and high-value transactions.
• Ability to communicate with C-Suite level individuals.
• Self-starter who can work independently or in a team.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, FASB and SEC/ASC rules.
• Adaptability to changing tech environments (AI, RPA).
