Job summary

Southern Oregon University’s School of Business and Economics invites applications for two full-time, nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professors in Accounting beginning September 2027. Teaching responsibilities include three accounting or related business courses per term at undergraduate and graduate levels, in-person and online.

Candidates must hold a CPA, a master’s in accounting or related field, and have at least five years of related experience; one year teaching in higher education;

Qualifications

• CPA and Master’s in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum five years of related accounting experience.
• At least one year of higher education teaching experience.
• Evidence of teaching excellence and scholarly activities.

Responsibilities

• Teach three accounting or related business courses per term at undergrad and grad levels, in-person and online.
• Advise students, develop curriculum, and contribute to service and collegial activities.
• Engage in scholarly activities and professional affiliations as appropriate.
