Job summary

NAVBASE San Diego is seeking an accounting support specialist to examine, verify, and maintain complex transactions across multiple programs and accounts. You will serve as a liaison between serviced organizations and higher headquarters and prepare accounting documents using office automation tools.

The role requires a high school graduate with bookkeeping or accounting training, plus at least one year of PC experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with bookkeeping or accounting training.
• At least 1 year of experience with PC equipment or education on PC applications.
• Ability to type 50 wpm or use a 10-key calculator by touch.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work for extended periods.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Recreation and Mess Central Accounting System Users Handbook and SAP AIMS DAR process.

Responsibilities

• Examine, verify, and maintain complex accounting transactions involving multiple programs and accounts.
• Perform office automation duties to produce accounting documents.
• Serve as liaison between serviced organizations and higher headquarters.
• Familiarize with the DAR process and SAP AIMS.
