Description
The Department of Health and Human Services has an immediate opening for an unclassified, part-time, Accounting Technician (Non-Career). Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this position performs various complex and technical accounting functions in the Financial Services Division, including the purchase, tracking, and payment of large City-wide vendor accounts for the Department. This position is located at the main health department office at 2525 Grand Ave, Long Beach, CA 90815.
Non-Career employees are allowed a maximum of 1,600 work hours over a 12-month period, are considered temporary, at-will employees, and are not typically eligible for benefits. However, they may qualify for health coverage and sick leave accruals subject to applicable laws.
Additional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Required documents must be uploaded in PDF format.
