Job summary

The City of Tucson City Court is hiring an Accounting Technician to support all financial functions, including reconciliations, payments, refunds, and adjustments within the case management system. You will work under supervision of the Financial Specialist and provide exceptional customer service to staff and the public.

Primary duties include processing deposits, reconciling to the case management system, and handling payments for fines and sanctions.

Qualifications

• Six months post-high school education or equivalent.
• Two years of directly related experience is required.
• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired.

Responsibilities

• Process daily deposits and reconcile to the case management system.
• Process payments of fines and sanctions; handle bond refunds and forfeitures.
• Complete refunds of overpayments and restitution payments to victims.
• Research and perform financial adjustments within the case management system.
• Coordinate with team to maintain accuracy and reduce errors.
