Job summary

HomeServices of America is seeking an experienced accounting professional to perform a range of accounting duties and support the department. The role includes data entry, report preparation, journal entries, and reconciliation tasks across accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities involve interfacing with other departments and vendors, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, finance or general business or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• 3 to 5 years accounting experience; related industry experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multiple departments and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of general accounting tasks (90-95%).
• Enter accounting data, maintain records and generate reports.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts/bank statements.
• Process accounts receivable and payable; calculate commissions and issue checks.
• Handle daily cash management, deposits and wire activity; analyze cash position.
