Job summary

Tucson City Court is recruiting an Accounting Technician to support the Court's financial functions, including deposits, payments, and refunds, while delivering quality customer service to staff and the public.

The role operates under supervision of the Financial Specialist in a mostly office environment, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork. A background in accounting and Office product proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months post-high school education or equivalent.
• Two years of directly related experience.
• Preference for 1+ year in accounting support or cash handling.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist the general public and court staff with processing of Court financial functions.
• Builds and maintains relationships with external and internal customers.
• Completes daily deposit process and reconciliations to case management system.
• Processes payment of fines and sanctions and refunds as needed.
• Researches financial adjustments and resolves outages or discrepancies.
