Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks an Accounting Team Lead – General Ledger & Closing in North America to ensure continuity and accuracy of financial reporting across NA entities. This role partners with regional stakeholders, auditors, and finance teams to deliver compliant statements and drive standardization.

You will lead month-end processes, mentor staff, and push automation across GL, with SAP, Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, and RPA to improve efficiency and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with GL, close, and governance.
• Strong IFRS/Local GAAP knowledge and complex close processes.
• Experience with auditors, management, and cross-functional teams in a multinational.
• Advanced SAP and MS Office skills; familiarity with data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across North American entities to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, building knowledge continuity and resilience.
• Standardize close processes and strengthen controls to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Drive automation and digitalization in GL and close using Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, and RPA.
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, Controlling, and Operations to support statutory reporting and audits.
