Job summary

UPL North America is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage General Ledger activities, support month-end close, assist with audits, and maintain fixed asset and lease accounting records. The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include GL reconciliations, journal entries, depreciation, and collaboration with Treasury and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on SAP experience (SAP FI/CO).
• Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting, depreciation, lease accounting, or related GL activities.
• Experience supporting external and internal audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and internal policies.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform GL account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain fixed asset and lease accounting records and schedules.
• Coordinate audit support and respond to requests accurately and timely.
• Provide variance analyses and reporting to assist decision making.
