Job summary

Siemens Energy in Orlando is seeking an Accounting Team Lead – General Ledger & Closing to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting across North America, partnering with regional stakeholders, auditors and finance teams. The role emphasizes standardization, automation, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to lead month-end, quarterly close, and develop the accounting organization.

Candidates should have CPA (preferred), 12+ years in accounting, and strong SAP, Power BI, and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with GL, close, and reporting responsibilities.
• Strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge and accounting governance experience.
• Experience with auditors and cross-functional stakeholders in a multinational setting.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, and RPA is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across NA entities.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting per IFRS/Local GAAP and Siemens Energy policies.
• Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of close processes.
• Mentor accounting team members and transfer knowledge across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support statutory reporting, audits, and internal controls.
