Ideal candidates have a CPA or advanced degree, 5+ years in accounting with GL and reporting, and experience in governmental or non-profit settings.
The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for an Accounting Team Lead to join our team. The Accounting Team Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing general ledger activities and staff, ensuring the proper classification, reconciliation, and reporting of all financial transactions. The role ensures timely and accurate completion of monthly close processes and financial reporting. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Responsibilities include analyzing trends in costs, revenues, and financial commitments and preparing variance explanations. Prepares and reviews routine and non-routine journal entries and account reconciliations, coordinating daily responsibilities and projects of staff accountants. Assist with hiring new staff and responsible for training staff. This position works under minimal supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
